Who Didn't Vote?

06/28/09 | by Brian Schultz [mail] | Categories: Beaver Hockey

The more I've thought about the vote from Friday (9-0 with one abstention) the more I think Anchorage abstained. Bruce McLeod said on Friday that the school that didn't vote didn't have any problems with Bemidji State or UNO, but rather, they had issues with the process. I can understand that UAA would like Fairbanks in the WCHA, and I can understand that they maybe would have liked more than one school to vote on (other than BSU). That's the only reason I say that Anchorage may be the school that didn't vote.

I need to stress...I have NO knowledge about the vote other than what McLeod said in the press conference.

Some may say that Michigan Tech might have abstained...but Northern Michigan said from the start, that they weren't interested in leaving the CCHA (and the other Michigan schools), for the WCHA.

I can't think of anyone else that would have an issue with the process involved...so that's what my hunch is.

Over on the UAA fan blog there was a post that
said the team that didn't vote was Minnesota.
